sorry guys, might be a stupid question, but how do you rev vehicle with auto tranny?? holding a break and reving, wouldn't that blow something in the tranny??

I chased a Jag XKR the other day from a standstill to motorway speed and he barely made a car length on me

All done now other than dropping the RFT's to reduce wheel spin in 1st and 2nd gear

Necroing this thread.
Now that drag season is closer, who has any recommendations for launching this car? A lot of us are running a DP and tune so this may change the game for launching.
