So if you want to be the one to spend $1000 vs $300 then go ahead. |

^This??? OP, Does your dash have a warning that looks like this displayed? Your original posts SEEMS to indicate this... ...BUT your lack of punctuation and general poor use of the English language is making it pretty difficult to understand. Last edited by biz77; 10-04-2018 at 06:02 PM.. |

My car is 2009 335i at 76k miles and I'm thinking of doing a transmission fluid and pan filter changed, the Indy shop said I would need to do a flush for my car does that seem right or just changing the fluid seems better?

By flush he probably meant just an oil change.

I've seen shops recommend this, they say it's a pump system but no clue. I just did a drain and fill, ran it for 1000 to circulate and then did the full Monty. After a grand I checked it and fluid looked great.

Old thread, but 100% right. True lubricants are better now, but cold winter and hot summer and excessive idling and beating on a car, still do the same damage and pollution to the engine oil. changing more often yield a cleaner and more reliable engine. |
