Fitting STI wheels on XI?

So I just got a 2010 e90 335xi (yay) and I'm in the process of selling my sti. Long story short, I need to gear up for winter I was going to get 17" wheels and snow tires simply because of the savings. However I have a spare set of perfectly good winter wheels from my STI but theyre 5x114.3 and the offset on the 05-07 STI wheels is +53, if I got a hub converter would this work? Or is the offset too much? Thanks

thanks, from what I can tell it seems +53 is just too much, the guide even said +43 was already kinda pushing it

hub converters can break. Just sell the wheels and get wheels with the correct bolt pattern. You really want to risk your wheel falling off at 65mph to save a bucks.

Oh yeah, I didn't even think about that - good point. I would reccomend you sell them and just buy a nice set of OEM and plasti or paint if you want. Style 73 look sharp in my opinion!

Hub converters are not a good idea.
