Is there a new drop from 75% to 70% for stage 1, or is this a typo?
It was a typo before. It said 75% when the default was actually 70%. I didn't change the UT % in the map. I just fixed the typo.

I know this sounds stupid... but are you sure Shiv? I swear for stage 1 of the MT maps, the 5-29 map's default UT is 75%. I'm going to reload the map and double check, but I recall when loading it I really paid attention to that number and it definitely was 75% out of the box.

If I'm correct, then I'm still wondering why you dropped it from 75% to 70% on the MT maps for stage 1?

We are not talking about the documentation, but rather the actual user software default ... What should we do? Keep it at 75% or drop to 70%?
Is 75% safe for DCI only running 91 octane?
If you can hold off for a few more days, I'm writing the custom tuning documentation. It will tell you how to determine your optimal (and safe) UT % by datalogging a couple CANbus channels. For now, just leave the defaults alone. They are 70% for the new 7-03 Stg 1 maps.

Im on the fence about getting a tune as Im under warranty for another 30k. Not wanting to cook the turbo's either.

I know I want some more power but keeping everything else otherwise stock. Can you run say 40% UT setting and keep the boost down to say 10psi?

Stock its 7psi right? Lower UT = less boost?

Sorry to thread jack but its kind of on-topic, lol.

Any possible harm from keeping the 5-29 maps at the default 75%?

Edit, just read your respsonse about waiting for the documentation on self tuning.. I am a simple user, do not want to self tune, just want to run the safe defauft... Just asking what that should be cuz I am very confused..
I've this this several times before and I'll be happy to say it again, there is no problem with running the 5-29 maps at 75%. With the new maps, we just dropped it to 70% with the understanding that if people wanted more power, they could dial it in by using the new CAN logging we just released with the last update.

Just leave the maps alone if you just want to drive the car. Absolutely NO reason to fiddle with anything. No reason to get worried or confused about anything.
