oil cooler is bent up a bit.. it will probably work, but cosmetically its as nice looking as a 91' civic
rear bumper some how managed to get a crack. I think its going to be easier for me to start removing parts and slowly list whats available and out of the car |

Wow, I'm glad you are ok after an impact like that. I'm not exactly sure what this part I'm looking for is called, but I believe it's the solenoid. I am looking for a replacement for the part with the 2 white plastic nipples where the long and short hose connect during a solenoid bypass. Also, if your T-map sensor is still intact from the accident and the sensor's clips are not broken, I'm interested in that also. If either of those are salvageable, pm me.

Alright, I made a mistake when I requested a part earlier. The part I'm needing is actually underneath the cowling I believe and I think its part #12 in this diagram:
Maybe someone can help me confirm that this is in fact the part I need. What I'm trying to replace is one of the trays the flat battery cable tray slides into. In the pictures below you can see where one of the trays is broken (picture #1) and where one of the trays is not broken (picture #2). Are these trays on part #12 in the diagram above? If so, does anyone happen to know the BMW part# for that? Finally, Dr. Anthony do you have this part available for sale? Thanks. |

why do you want an oil cooler from a car which has a cracked block, and bent fins??? i would highly suggest not using the cooler!!! it could have metal shavings in it!! that is a no no... unless you can somehow clean it ?!?!? hot tank it maybe ??
tread carefully, i dont mean to disrespect the op, but i want to relay this information...

judging by the pics, looks like the oil cooler probably didnt survive so, i'll agree with you. Guys, I'll be taking parts off this week, once I have the parts off I'll list/notify everyone.. I'm sorry if I havent responded to everyone's PMs.. Ive been so busy the past while, and havent had a chance to do anything with the car. I did power it up, and the navigation/stereo etc does work. So before I promise to sell anything, I'm going to remove it first.. then list it saying "I have this out.. and now for sale" I probably should have done this sooner |
