Also a flathead with masking tape over it would do the trick as well
Or just grab a 2 year old and have them push it back. Only take a little bit of force to get them off I was about to say something about using that lug but the DIY was great so didn't want to bust his chopps too bad lol
Haha... Maybe I'll pluck my F10 side markers off and put these on today- anyone want to buy a set of gently used F10 side markers?

I have a whole entire roll of double-sided tape I can include with it - free of charge!

My side markers were stuck. So I used the socket because it has rounded edges and smooth polished surface that wouldn't carve into or be abrasive to the paint when I pushed on the nose of the lense.

Oh I know I was just giving you a hard time. It wouldn't be a forum if nobody was messing with each other LOL! But no seriously though, your write was awesome. Are you going to put it up in the DIY section?

Finally got the car washed and they threw a ton of water, soap, etc. on it and 2 days later, no condensation/water in the housing of the side marker, etc. Works like a charm still and no issues. Definitely a sturdy piece of after market accessory that is worth buying.

I have a SGM and was planning to get the smoked amber sides. I think it would look awesome but kind of having doubts now that other members say they don't look good on dark color cars.

Do you have any pics during the day and which ebay vendor did you get it from?

They look amazing on dark colored cars...it just depends on what your preference is. I am going with a black and red/orange (just the turn bulbs are amber/orange) theme on my car so I love them.

Here is the listing of the seller that I bought them from on eBay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-2006-20...item486bdf405a

Good luck and I am sure you will love them. Their look is highlighted at night especially. I don't have any day pics unfortunately but will try to take some later today and send them.

these markers don't look bright for being leds. anyone compare them to the high performance bulb replacement? I just want the brightest. don't really care about the aesthetics.

If you want the brightest, IMO, these aren't it (can only speak on the smoked ones).

But are they bright enough? What color is your car? Trying to make up my mind about whether the smoked ones will fit on Alpine White with black gloss grills and spoiler.

They're bright enough. My car is black so I got the smoked lens. Didn't want the clear ones sticking out like a sore thumb. That was one of the reasons why I got rid of the stock ones.

Well, I've had to pull the set back off my car. The passenger side one started flickering (CANBUS) when not being "used" but didn't throw any codes.

I went back to stock and used tint spray on them and switched to PIAA H133 bulbs. Looks pretty good and are fairly bright even with the tint.

My biggest concern and through most research has lead to me the conclusion that a lot (not all) aftermarket options tend to have poor fitment and or gaps. I prefer staying with as much as OEM as possible. Our side marker bulb upgrade is offered with an amber option also.
Was just doing some research on side markers and came to the same conclusion. Just ordered a set of bulbs from Jeff. Cant beat free shipping!
