That would be awesome, I have a dealer friend who I almost had convinced to give me dealer plates so I wouldnt have to pay sales tax on the cars...he almost went for it then realized it would be somewhat illegal!

Yeah, I am hoping that my car fetish will begin to dull now that I have cycled through so many cars of late. My wife hopes so too, she gets fed up with me getting a different car all the time. Fingers crossed the E93 keeps me interested!

That would be kinda fun...have a co-op of cars...different makes and trade them around in a cycle every few months. not sure how that would work..as i'm sure all kinds of problems would arise

Sheesh..I thought I was bad changing cars every 2-4 years....That seems pretty tame by tadders' standard

The latest...

Carmen is now on the Port Hueneme schedule for arrival on May 21 at http://www.portofhueneme.org/home.php
Notice that there are 1,256 BMWs on that ship. Holy crap. That's a little less than double the Turandot which docks less than a week prior....

Stress level down...

Hey,

I noticed that since I received confirmation that my car was on the ship and it was reporting position, that my stress level has been reduced significantly. I so much more calm now!!! I have started to focus my attention to maybe getting the OEM front lip (which i think should be standard) and maybe a limited slip differential (I'm a drag racer at heart, but I love lateral g's too!!!)

Feeling good right now. Carmen's making good time and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!!

i feel exactly the same way. i mean, if i wanna get pumped about something, i will contemplate why im on the dumb lyra leader, which arrives a few days later, almost ensuring that i wont take the car the 26th. but its okay, just a few more days tacked on...

LoL
I think i'm experiencing a little mix-up of emotions right...
I'm calm knowing the fact the car is done...
But I still have the little worries associated with a 2 week trip to Europe.

Also i've read a couple of stories of cars being fully ready, but German registration papers not ready when people get there to pick up. Usually the Delivery center in Munich is quick enough to just give you a comparable loaner if your car is not ready for any reason. I guess if it happens, i'll have to look at the positive side of things. I don't get to drive our baby on the Autobahn, but I guess we'll end up getting a car with no miles back in the states.

I'm in the same boat...OEM lip is a defnite. Wheels will be on order (they're telling me about a 2-3 month lead time on them) More stuff to obsess over. I just sold one of my other cars yesterday, so that's a load off my chest.

Which wheels did you order that have such a long leadtime? Can you post pix?

Until now, my single door of my three car garage didn't have an opener on it. But since that's where the 335i is going to park, I installed one over the weekend. Just getting the nursery ready for the new arrival!!!

Here's a link to them: click me I'm still debating if I want them in their standard Silver or a Titanium Gunmetal for a little bit of contrast on an Alpine White car...

That's schweet!

Are you going for the 19's or stick with the 18's so you can re-use your tires?

I will probably go with 19's w/ some stickier tires. I'll probably do a mix use of both sets of wheels...Maybe use my run-flats as my "winter" tires (if there is such a thing as winter in los Angeles ) and use the 19's as my summer "fun" tires. We'll see...I'll probably end up getting a procede as well...(and switch it only to the aggressive map when i'm going to have fun with her on the weekends since wifey will see most duty on this car)
