Per the suggestions posted in here, I bought some Zaino9/10 last week and applied it last nite -- AMAZING. I am most impressed with the job it did. The car smells like brand new leather and looks amazing. I purchased the car new in Oct, but the smell had faded so the Zaino provided a refreshing smell. Makes it feel all new again! Highly recommended! Thank for the suggestion.

BMW stopped using most PBDE's a few years ago, so their new car smell is not toxic.

for one, don't think of the vegetable squash. it's not related. i don't know how to describe it, it's kind of a fruity and bubble gum smell. i really like the scent.

the scent is popular with a lot of different japanese air freshners, spencer brand probably being the most popular.

squash smell seems to be popular in japan overall. i once went into a bathroom, and they had this giant squash freshener sitting on the floor. think i got high in there because it was so overwhelming. and there's even a fanta drink that's squash!

i currently have a spencer refill cartridge sitting under my passenger seat. when it's new, i just poke holes through the plastic wrap. reason being, is the smell is very strong when new. when it becomes weaker, i then cut the plastic wrap in half, with the cartridge half exposed. when it becomes weaker again, i remove the plastic wrap fully.



btw, some asian shops, asian supermarkets, and tuner shops should have it. back in the day, super autobacs in socal sold the refill cartridges for a really good price and i'd stock up. now it's the same as most places.

They are CRAZY good. And they last a long time. I put one under each front seat about every 2 months.

my friend ended up selling me his CS-X3 Squash air freshner and let me tell you Oh my gosh....i LOVE it...

lets put it this way...ive been trying to air out my new car smell just so that the squash is the only thing i smell...

it smells very lemony to me...its like an orgasm in my nose...
