Moving, Please Recommend a Transport Company

Howdy Folks,

I am moving to ATL from Houston. Can anybody recommend a reputable car transport company to get my 3 from A to Z?

Thanks in Advance!

I used All Coasts Transport (make sure you search for one with the S in it) to transport my MV Agusta Motorcycle. They are a coordinator so they hire guys to actually do the work but its point-to-point shipping (insured) and they were a much better deal than anyone else. Everyone else at their price was hub-to-hub where it could get stuck someplace waiting for a guy to roll by with room on his truck.

I know they do cars because behind my bike in the truck when they unloaded it was a new AMG Merc.

Ratmoves.com I work at a dealer and they are all we use. Always request top of truck if weather doesnt look bad. No shippers repair leaking fluids or broken windshields from falling objects. I always call Alpha team, Megan or April.

There are a ton of bad reviews (I didn't see any car transport companies with good reviews) but I used DAS shipping for my S4 just two months ago. The car did arrive a little later than I wanted but all in all, I had no complaints.

By the way, I'd recommend getting top load no matter who you go with.

Last move I made I rented a Penske with a car carrier to take my 323. Oh what fun it was!

Just don't use that uship.com website, watched that show shipping wars and what a bunch of morons, who would ship via uship after seeing that show!

I really wished there was some place very reputable. It seems like it's a crap-shoot on how good the delivery was.

That's what I did when I moved across country. I'd rather transport my stuff than some shipping company.

I had good experience with Direct Express Auto Transport, CA to MI. They were timely, courteous, professional, treated the car well and timely.. A few basic questions to ask: does the carrier stop at cities along the way to unload/load? The fewer stops the better. Does one driver travel with the truck from start to finish? Again, one is best, more is not so good. Does their quote include full transportation insurance? Make sure to get the details and get a copy of the insurance paperwork.. There's a website with extensive reviews of shipping companies, transportreviews.com. Most 'shipping' companies are intermediaries that link the customers with the actual transporters. That's just the way the industry is set up. So if you can't directly with the shipper, the shipping companies usually do a good job of coordinating.

I just shipped my son's Toyota from S. Car to L.A. with DAS. Great service! Arrived a day early and they delivered it to his door. He says that it appears that the interior looks cleaner! Anyway, top tier on the truck costs a little more, but that's not how I shipped the Toyota - I didn't care.

I am an auto broker. I ship cars on a daily basis.
$600 shipped, door to door service + insurance. Will be picked up within a day or two, delivered within 4-7 days.
