Best E92 mods?

Just got my 2007 328xi coupe a few weeks ago and just finished doing A TON of preventative maintenance (Changed our radiator hoses, Thermostat hose, Coolant flush, brake flush, Oil filter housing gasket, new tires, spark plugs, and ignition coils) and now I finally can get to work on changing some stuff on the car for fun ! I know how amazing these forums are, and I use them all the time btw, so I figured you guys might have some pretty good and nice ideas!

Below is a picture of it after a 4 hour detail! Thank you in advance for any advice

Wow the car paint looks very good. Good job on the detail.

But for the first mod I would remove the M stripes on the grill

+1 I was going to say the same about removing the M stripes.
But it's your car.

E92 is/was my wish. I really like the styling on it.

Funny enough actually, the stripes are painted on the grill lol. The previous owner had put these on and gave me the originals but I have to say these look batter then the original silver and black ones.

Yes the black grills are definitely nicer.

Great job getting maintenance items done before aesthetics. Now, I would paint the grills black, add an Aero lip and M3 trunk lip.

I have a LCI E92 SE.

1. The 1st mod i did was fit black grills. IMO those stripes just spoil it.

2. Replace the steering with Msport version. The airbags are same so direct swap. Plenty of decent condition used wheel about and cost nothing. I found the Msport wheel is thicker and better grip.

3. Replace the gear knob if you have a manual. The silver SE version is nasty.

4. As already mentioned fit a splitter on front bumper. I was quite lucky 3rd party damaged my front bumper and paid for a new bumper so i sourced a used Msport version and had it resprayed.

5. Still searching for Msport front seats. The SE seats are very basic. Mine are standard manual seats any I find for sale are electric so too much complication.

I would start with the cheapest mods then work yourself up.

Black grill
Black window trim
LED angel eye bulbs
Light window tint
Exhaust tips
Wrap wooden interior trim
Wheel Spacers
M-Tech style front lip
Lower it a bit * this one can be controversial because it can also be pricey depending on the route you decide to take

Love all the suggestions and thank you to everyone btw

Socket's E92 definitely would be a great end goal for the single fact that I would literally never stop working on my car LOL! That thing is a beast!

The things I'll definitely be doing EXTREMELY soon is putting a new steering wheel trim (mine is peeling and looks awful), the front lip would look amazing (thank you so much for that idea!), and I'll try to wrap the trim, not sure the best way to go about it tho :

After doing a thorough search of the car I have found that it has Bilstein B12 suspension! Hurray to me Any thoughts on this suspension?

A couple things I did first was

15% tint
Aero Lip
ZHP shift knob
Paint the window trim black
Black lower grille pieces
Led angel eyes
Get rid of the front plate

I think those really clean up the car and make it look better in my opinion.

I've seen this on a few E92s and it's really cool and adds a lot of sporty styling, what is the best place to get a trunk lip? There are just so many :

This is absolutely insane! Hats off to you! I'm definitely gonna tackle most of these mods, the headlights are extremely dope btw

How long was this whole process for you? Like from when you got the car until now?

These are all great! Currently I have LED Angel Eyes and Bilstein B12 suspension. That idea to wrap the trim is excellent but I'm not sure how I'm gonna go about that. I didn't even think of the Exhaust tips, thank you for that! Where do you recommend I get the Exhaust tips from?

These are amazing suggestions! I definitely want to do that front splitter ASAP. Love the shifter idea but sadly I have an automatic but was looking into the F30 style shifter retrofit. I do currently have the LED Angel Eyes and the previous owner had actually made them very clear and bright, so they look fantastic! I am actually currently looking at putting the seats from a convertible in because they look more bolstered and sporty. Where would you recommend I get the grills?

The mods don’t need to be expensive, I’ve been happy with this lip even after two years.

These are amazing suggestions for the fact of how simple these are! The only thing is since I'm in NY I'm required to have a front plate and on top of it ill live in Queens and work in Long Island and the roads always have cops on them

That's insane! You must really love your car, and I totally understand it! The only thing is I'm having trouble finding the headlights you got? Do you know where I could find them

I live in NY too but I'm up around Albany. I always get pulled over for my tint and no front plate but I refuse to put the plate on and take the tint off. I always just give the cops the money they want and go on with my day. Car looks too good to change it. Thanks Cuomo :
