Sqaure setup on 162's?

I'm interested doing a Square on 162's wheels. I've search and search if anybody has done at lease a little experiment of putting the rear 162s (18x8.5 ET37) to the front and if there was any rubbing or was just too wide. but nothing, so I gotta ask here.. is it possible? same way if i go the fronts (18x8 ET 34) as all around. I like these style wheels and want to use them as a daily. also adding a 5th wheel as a spare.

I own a 06 xi and its lowered(not too much). My plan having 162's Rears (18.5 et37) all around. of course size of the tires matter when it comes to fitting well without them rubbing on the fronts so I'm open for suggestion.

any thoughts or info I'll appreciate.(excuse my English)

I had 162 rears on the front on my pre lci with stock suspension. No rubbing and no issues. It might be kinda close with a drop tho and might rub the fender liner on large bumps or full lock.

- Thanks ,,man I was sure somebody would say that, spend some time researching more I someone did say say it was rubbing, but was it because of the tire size perhaps.

What size tires did you had them in the front? ,

Not sure if it's in the budget but you should consider lighter rims. My car came with the 162 and the first time I weighed them I had Apex rims on order the same day. You can drop around 75 pounds of rotating weight with lighter rims. I did like the 162 style though.

I had the stock 255/35/18 on there, it was a Conti DWS, not sure how they run. I could see on anything lowered it might rub but I didn't ever have any rubbing on stock suspension even when driving hard

Thanks guys, I guess I'll go staggered for now just to be save. and experiment it myself ^^. I like the style 162's for a while and just luck my friend is holding them for me if I want to buy them. I plan that there be great for an extra set of winter wheel set, or daily with a 5th spare that is with the same size on all 4 for my long road trip.

Thanks -blown- Apex is great, I'm looking forward serious lighter weight and aggressive in the near future.

I thought 162's weight 23lbs each, so total like less than 100lbs for 4 rims. If you drop 75lbs from that - you are left with less than 25lbs or 6lbs per rim! I've never seen 18' rim that weighs 6lbs! Either I'm getting something wrong or 75 pounds you've quoted is a VERY optimistic number. Please correct me if I'm wrong

P.S. I just checked Apex rims for e9x and lightest 18' rim they offer is 18.4lbs - making that essentially only 4 pounds per rim shaving or total of 16 pounds for 4 rim setup. Which is again not 75 pounds less as you quoted. Am I missing something here?

I weighed the rims with the run flats and the total weight diff was 75lbs going to the apex with non run flats. I see with a quick search the fronts are around 30lbs and the rears are just over 32lbs....so probably closer to 50lbs if not changing from runflats.
