disconnecting battey?

I have a 2008 bmw 328xi, it is not under warranty.

I had a passenger restraint system malfunction light up on idrive, and airbag light on dash. randomly.

I will try to disconnect and connect the battery for 10-15 minutes.

MY main question is , when I disconenct and connect will anything get messed up like radio code, etc? I dont want to take it to the facists to fix, it will be too expensive.

please help if you can

A few things might need resetting. No radio code as I know of, but you might need to reset the presets. Sunroof and windows might need initializing. For xis there is an issue about the steering angle sensor, but some say you can turn the wheel from lock to lock to reset that without a tool, ie. bavarian technic. The Bentley Manual says you need a tool. A few errors will pop up fromt this... Maybe you can find someone around you with a scan tool to check why your errors are coming up before you disconnect the battery?
