Help needed swapping I-drive components to non I-drive car

Hi all, it’s time I finally add I-drive to my car.
I have my e90 335i that has almost all fbo mods installed and will keep having money thrown at it, but is getting very wore out from using it as a daily.

I just purchased an 07 335i with the upgraded I-drive stuff, individual tpms on screen, oil level on screen etc etc. This would be the new daily.

So I have the new car that would have all the parts I could need, besides coding.
I want to know what I need to swap over from 1car to the other please.
I know the dash and the screen but what specific modules would also have to swapped over.

I have seen the diy on the 1addicts site but I believe they use the older I drive system, would it still be the same thing?

You’re probably thinking why don’t I just swap mods over to the idrive car.
The non I-drive has had m tech bumpers painted and installed and lci trunk/taillight installed and painted.
I would rather swap I drive parts from one to another.

Really wanna do this swap. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Non idrive to CIC is about an 8 hour job. It is not that hard.

Thank you for that.
I have seen that diy. The user used a ccc.
Does that diy cross over exactly to a cic swap? As far as the wiring.

Is is the same thing except you need to run a Chinese emulator or flash the CIC with new FSC codes. You will also not need to pin in a fan harness.

Ok either flash the FSC codes or the emulator right?
Does the cic not have a fan? Or why wouldn’t it need a harness.

Also the cic idrive Car has the usb/aux plug in the center console.
Would that involve swapping the module in the trunk over also so the USB/aux plug work too?

The CIC has an internal fan and not a external one. You will need either a combox or MULF module in the trunk to retrofit the center console USB.

Ok thank you.
The idrive car already has the mulf module since it is equipped with the usb.
Do I just unplug it from that car and plug it in the non I drive car and it will work?
Or does that require extra wiring in the trunk and the center console?

Read up on a MULF retrofit. That will answer your questions.
