i got my windows tinted about a month ago and i knew in advance i was going to run into this problem. i was thinking about either having vinyl placed over it or just covering it up with a roof spoiler, but can anyone post up some pictures of their e92 roof spoiler so that i get an ideal before i make a purchase. im trying to get that classy/aggressive look and staying away from RICE! hahaha
i know i know i need a drop haha Last edited by daygo1904; 02-22-2010 at 07:32 PM.. |

I had this exact same problem with my tint. I just went back there, and had them cut out the top part where the dot matrix is, and put vinyl there. Now it looks great, not 100% perfect, but I am very satisified compared to what it looked like before. I suggest you do the same, and don't go for the spoiler (looks tacky IMO).

Personally, I'd just try to forget about it unless it sticks out like a sore thumb....
I have black vinyl over mine and it's still visible. It's one of those things that no one will ever notice, but it bugs the shit out of you because you know it's there. Car's looking good by the way but you're in desperate need of an Aero lip and painted reflectors.

The place that did my tint used a special adhesive made purposly for the painted dots on the glass. It looks 99% perfect. Call around to some tint shops and ask if they use it.

It wont cover the dot matrix. I have the roof spoiler on my car and it doesnt cover the blemish area.
