COMPLETED! FIRST 328xi bmw performance big brake kit front w pics

So i was iffy about doing this, but now i'm ultra happy about this set up!

My mechanic only asked for $100. It was about an hour and 45 minute of work

after shaving, you have to trim the heat shield. I used the OEM ones not the BMW Performance ones
Hope the pics help for others who want to do this.

(i think i maybe the first on a 328xi)

shaved excess metal to fit

Fronts should work, but rears will not unless you have an E93, E91, or 330i. You also need 17" rims or larger.

Edit: realoem.com doesn't show that the BMW Performance brake is available for the 328xi.

If you need new brakes why not just get some good brake pads, SS lines, and maybe upgraded rotos? I personally wouldn't spend $3000 on BBK's unless I tracked that car regularly, if you are going for just the look then have at it. I would recommend some Hawk DTC pads + Racing Brake 2-peice floating rotors + SS lines with Motul 600 if you really want to change the car for half the price.

Just checked Turner's website and it says specifically the BMW performance brakes are not for xi models unless it's an e91.

Anyone actually successfully installed them? I know they're not for XI/ xDrive's. I'm not looking for alternatives at the moment. I saw an e90 335xi's with them installed. I'm wondering how easy is it to do it/ what modifications need to be done?

Nope, the rear rotor doesnt't fit. It's too deep. The stock rotor fits but the diameter is too small. That's for the 325/328. If you have a wagon or convertible or 330 you're good.

The parts people in edmonton would just tell me that the brake configuration for xDrive vs RWD is different which i know... but there are 335i xDrive's on the forum with the BMW performance bbk which are not for xDrives. So IF their Oem configuration is the same as the 328i xDrive (minus the size of the oem stock brakes/ rotors), I don't see why it should not work

So since I have a 2006 e90 330xi I WOULD be able to run front and rear performance brakes without ridiculous modding?

i am hoping that the brakes from the f30s fits the e90s.
so i can swap a set from a newer model 328 xdrive. I heard bmw made bigger brakes for the new 3 series, so i am assuming that the 328s get bigger breaks too.
don't know if you have seen this thread

That's cool, but looks complicated to me for some reason

well anyways back to BMW Performance Brakes.. i'm planning on maybe doing it. Just the fronts (since other 335i xDrive owners have done it). I dont really care about the rear and plus i want a working e brake. But i just need a confirmation from other e90 techies!

Every dealer that sells them says they wont fit and will not give me an explanation as well as how the 335xi owners installed them

ECS tuning says the spindles are different..

here's a 330xi and 335xi with them (tiny bit of modding to the spindle and heat shield ):
