Quick $676 question

Hi

I've read all the threads on adding $676 to VO for base audio upgrade, but my ECUs don't match any in the threads!

I'm pretty sure I've worked it out for myself, but would like to just sanity check here please?

Car is 2010 E91 with iDrive / Business Nav and Base Audio

There is no 2RAD module, but I found all the audio options in the MCIC module:

AUDIO_SYSTEM_CIC
- stereo

My proposed method (with NCS Expert)

1. Add $676 to CAS and NFRM (FA_WRITE)
2. Recode MCIC (which should result in the above option changing to hifi)

... and that's it as far as I can tell. I haven't yet checked ZBE, which is iDrive I think - does that also need coding?

Thanks

The cic is the idrive. 2Rad is a version without screen.

Rad version are only for non idrive. No Nav/idrive cars.

There are two basic idrive version's in the US look
it up on wiki or google it .

The early version of the change to 676 required programming
a bunch of modules related to the idrive .
The version you have may only require one .

It's best to use Inpa functional jobs to find out which modules you
have.

There are threads that cover this here already.
Also there is and idrive subforum.
Euro idrives may differ than US idrives.

Thanks ctuna - pretty much confirms what I thought.

I used INPA to check all the modules, and it does look like MCIC is the only module which needs coding.

yes, for 2010+ Business navi you should code MCIC
the headunit called CIC MID
