Thanks, I'm pleased, I also had them ship a dark brown band with it, so it gives it a bit more of a vintage look with the fairly mono toned face.

I hear ya, my biggest is a 50mm but the Panerai I have is a 47 which I have a weird suspicion may actually be bigger then my 50mm due to it's massive case. Every watch wears differently.

nice sized collection. Mine basically covers the head of my bed. between my watch case like yours and my 4 piece watch winder, and then a few watch boxes that look pretty. It's a mess. I plan on cleaning things up a bit.

I sometimes find random watches waiting for me the next morning just sitting on my couch because I took it off there the night before.

I also have 1 randomly sitting in my window sill because it's a solar powered citizen Which with all honesty, I don't think fits me anymore and I don't think I'll find the spare links to. (got it when I was a teen... ohhh so long ago)

A 2 or 3 step ladder would be perfect, even a small apple crate, can put stuff in it for carrying too.

You're out of the loop, Dad. You need to quit wasting time with half-naked women and that kid of yours and hang out here with the boys more often.

Or not.

not my usual subject...

No idea how to improve the photo, other than switching lenses and/or using a different body.

Well, it's just not very interesting. When a bird is just flying against a blue sky it's tough to make it seem super. Usually you'll try to really get close so, at least, the viewer can see lots of details. If you had one gull trying to steal from the other, then this kind of open shot can work. It also works when you can show environment, but this open sky is just kind of plain.

Getting close adds drama and interest:

Thanks Dave. It would've helped if I didn't shoot it at 35mm too

Oh yeah, that lens works best when there are 1,000 birds.

Nice light, nice composition, perfect exposure, EXCEPT it's the ass end. Rodi can get away with that, but for wildlife you almost always want the other end.
