Subs alone are 800. A piece and you're tryna be a smart ass about a 1500 head unit that I paid basically half the original price for? As if it's a 5000.00 pice and I said I paid full price... My basement flooded with audio that I don't even use lady. what state you live in, cause it's clear that your state is still on lock down and you essentially have nothing else better to do with your time. Smh Antiman.

This video, seems to show the same fascia you're using. Doesn't appear to flow well with the contour of the dash.
In any case, still looking forward to your install. |

Yeah.. thats the thing I hate most for that facia.. BUT... I think there may be a work around.. I'm going to try it.. if you look at the Dynavin version of these units, they don't have the chin issues that these other Chinese units have.. one reason being, there is a lil material that needs to be removed where the bolt holes are.. then it sits flush. Also 99%of these faceplates are molded basically flat, so I'm going to try and use a heat gun and try to lightly bend it to fit. Hopefully I can bend it at the top careful not to warp it. This particular facia may present an ebev tougher challenge, but there are a few others that I think will give with better result. The one that OP wants may be a good candidate since it has a slight lift at the bottom. I will order one today just for testing and post my result. For that same of science 😂 and our own look.🤞

Maybe heat it from the back. Demelna lil 90 degree notch in the corner to help the bend give. So that it bends right at that blue point.

If Eonon would do away with that outdated tech they could make a better fitting unit. |

Agreed.. CD is definitely outdated. That would save ample amounts of space, and cost on manufacturers end, sending the savings to the consumer.

This is true.. but I was thinking more so the depth instead of the length. I mean, if my theory is correct. The bottom will still be slightly longer, but it wouldn't protrude out as much.. will post a pic when I find it. So maybe we can debate it with a physical representation of what I'm thinking. I mean if we can correct this as much as possible,at least it wouldn't be so painful to look at.. lol.

Can't find the actual post.. but this is the part that Dynavin says need to be cut away. It gives you a few mm but it does make a huge difference afterwards. It's the foam and vinyl/leather material over the screw hole. So after that's cut away with a razor the unit will sit further back.. if I find the post I will add it. It won't sit as far as Dynavin because they have a slight curve, but if heated we can replicate that curve slightly. (Hopefully) I couldn't believe how much a difference it made.
