Rear lower shock mount failed

Hi gents,

So my new rear lower shock mount from Meyle didn't last more than 3 months and failed. The nut securing the shock has gone right into the mount and is moving inside the middle portion rubber mold.

Unsure why this failed I am looking at replacing this new piece with an alternative. The rear left side seems fine but the right side failed, both torqued the same.

- Alternatives and feedback from the community:

I've been contemplating with the idea to introduce the use of a stainless steel washer between the new lower mount and the nut that secures the shock.
This should stop the nut from going through, but... why did it go through in the first place...

Then, I've discovered 2 alternative products on ECS, and I would like to get some feedback from you guys if anyone has used these and what are the pro's and cons here.

Additionally this section states:
Designed to work with stock non-M taper seat stud style shocks (not M eyelet mount type).

What exactly does this mean?
Does this product not apply/work with an M3 for example but will work fine for an E90 M-sport ?

... Visually the aluminium lower mount looks the same to the rubber oem mount.

It failed because Meyle sells junk. Replace it with an OE part (Lemforder):

I try to not save a few bucks on work that involves hours of back pain.
Just not worth it to revisit.

I've purchased replacement lemforder rear lower for both sides and will be replaced both as well as reinforcing the bottom with SS washers to stop the bolt ever going through.

The $200 metal lower mounts look great but just doesn't seem worth it to me at present.

PS. I was not aware that Meyle lower mount was sub quality to begin with considering it costs more than lemforder.

Check out the Monroe upper shock mounts while you're at it. They're a cheap upgrade over the stock foam mounts:
