I was about to put in a bid on a complete COBB Stage 2+ kit for the N55 on eBay. It appears to never have been installed. It is Accessport, FMIC, Catted Down Pipe, metal Charge Pipe, and HW. Is the COBB FMIC generally acceptable for a daily driver looking for longevity and fun vs. max performance?

Im a previous Cobb user myself, i would stay away from it due to the lack of support. If you need any help, its going to be impossible to get Cobb to do it

I was planning on taking the car and the kit to my local speed shop, who by chance is a Cobb authorized installer/dealer, and have them install it and do a dyno run and custom MAP.

I am hoping with local shop supporting the install, it will alleviate any need for a lifeline back to the mothership.

Support aside, any issue with the bolt-on's or Accessport? Did you get a "fun-factor" performance boost that made you smile?

Its a nice increase over stock, very mild compared to other options available. Its similar to Dinan in terms of gains you are going to get.

Make sure you ask your tuner for a more aggressive custom map
