BC racing coilover shock body adjustment

Installed my BC Coilovers today on my 2011 335xi. The thing I was unsure about was how to determine the length of the shock bodies in both front and rear. Does anyone know the procedure for determining the shock body length?

Also, In the front, I installed the driver side by bolting the 3 top hat studs first. initially the end link was too short to reach the mounting hole on the shock body so I had to unbolt at the top hats, lower the coilover, install endlink, then jack up and re-bolt the top hats. Is this normal? I'm worried this will change how my front sway bar should behave...

Thanks.

It's trial and error.

On mine, the fronts are about 1/4in from being as low as they can go.

For end links, you'll need to rotate the entire sway bar a bit which will help your end links line up. If still too short you'll need adjustable ones.

Thanks for the response. So adjust shock body for front height and spring perch for rear height.

Another thing now though. The metal sleeve on my upper shock mount doesnt fit on the bc coilover shock. The diameter of the bc shock is too big?? Am I missing something here?
