The opposite could be said of a Camry or similar.

The problem is there is too much dud advice and even worse places where money comes first and passion later.

I had a customer who kept buying smg parts day after day and finally I asked him wtf is going on. I was told his reputable bmw specialist was fixing it. After they failed we got the car only to find the transport lock (used to lock the pressure plate while is transit) for the self adjusting clutch was still connected somehow. Shit happens and everyone makes mistakes but should something the that cost a customer 5k for literally nothing. Let's be honest some things should never happen.

Best of luck with it, wish I had heard from you sooner. This would have been a cool challenge.

Just going through the right channels of becoming a site sponsor in which case we can post all the commercial stuff at that time.

We have 2x competition e92 m3 plus a few e90 m3 atm if anyone is interested in bits. The silver m3 bonnet is pretty mint everything is in sydney but can ship.
hey mate you got any parts for an e82 1 series?

Honestly I’m just over it. I want my car back. I don’t care anymore........quickest easiest way is what I’m after; after 6 weeks I’m well and truly done.

M2’s are looking pretty nice :-)

haha stretch another $30k and you can get the new M3 pure for $120k ish great BFYB compared to prev models and used cars. The pure foregoes full leather but apparently retains some comp pack spec features (sussy engine tune exhaust but foregoes the 20" rims)

From the M2 there’s no more stretch that I’m prepared to go. And warranty is now a must

We’ll see. Maybe when I get it back on Friday hopefully, it will feel like a new car and I won’t even want to sel it!

Side note here, I drove a mates rs3 today 2016, christ is boggies to 100, it's pretty unbelievable. Quoted something like 4.1 294 odd kw from a 4 banga. That being said, it's damn slow after 100. So much so that I'm sure an n54 fbo and tune at anything after 100 would take it down easily. They also apparently run 20psi stock boost, thrown in the 4wd it's believable. It just feels so damn fast to the 100 and so damn slow at kickdown down thereafter.

It's seems to me that audi gear and tune these things 100 specifically, maybe it helps sell cars.

Not interested in any hatches what so ever. If it wasn’t going to be a coupe/convertible I’d buy something like a 2014 ML63 AMG

Rs3’s are a 2.5L 5cyl hence the great sound!!

But not interested, RS5 on the other hand, hell yea - although I’d buy an M4 for the same $

I know that the interior is amazing (porsche quality) and the exhaust sound drove me nuts after a few days. Had one for a week in Sydney as my close friend takes PT to work and I had his dark grey 2017 M4 to drive.. Engine noise is a big let down for me. Felt like I was driving a 335i with a cheap exhaust and a mhd tune. Dct Transmission felt good. Felt nimble on its feet in the corners too due to lighter weight from its predecessor. No aftermarket exhaust sounds good on these cars. The exhaust tone however on competition pack, cs and gts is improved and sounds much better. I would choose c63s coupe or 1m over it hands down.

Latest CP sounds way better than any other M4 before it, but yeah still nothing on a AMG...

FWIW most motoring mag scribes rate latest CP above AMG and the new alfa

Why do you guys always hurt my feelings by talking about cars I want but can't have.

If I could afford it I'd take the M2 I just like the things and how they look and they soon have a CP version..

Got my car back. It works again! But I don’t feel good driving it anymore (I’ve had it for 15mins). I think I’ll Keep it a year till I move house. Put kms on this. When I move close to work get a new car and keep them kms down ;-)

Also I got the broken mechatronics unit for whoever wanted it. I think it was you sash. If so, call or message me to arrange pickup.
