AFE race pipe fits e90 328i

FINALLY!!! Was able to complete the secondary cat delete with AFE race pipe+PE, PERFECT FIT.

The initial install was scary cause I thought it was to short since it's only listed for the e92-e93. I even called several shops to ask and AFE as well directly and they said we don't know. I have 328i 6MT e90 2007.
I will be following up for more details as the ECU needs to learn the new upgrade.

My setup
Bms PBX
PE
Sports package
Euro intake
Bmw strut bar

Cool, look exactly like my old eisenmann mid-pipes. My lesson learned, using the stock mid-pipe, make a cut after the 2ndary cats, take out the filling so it's hollow, reweld or clamp over the cut. Pretty much the same thing.

How much didu get it for?

do you have torque specs on the two bolts shown in the bottom picture. I have been battling a rattling sound coming from that clamp for forever, but every time i tighten them more, it just changes when the rattling occurs. Maybe im not going tight enough?

I believe these only go for roughly $350-$400, as opposed to the Supersprints or eisenmanns which are a little more. And yes, sound clip or vid now!!!!! I was about to purchase these.

That's exactly why I posted this, AFE has great quality race pipe for a fraction of the price compared to SS and others I have researched. Companies now a days always claim you get what you pay for, well yes but you also get great quality for a fraction of the price!! Hints AFE performance. I am getting my setup ready for the 330i IM swap and AFE header this should put me at a fantastic horsepower DD CAR!!!! Then I will be completing a dyno run, till then saving my money.

This cost me 280 for the AFE pipes way more competitive price wise compared to SS pipes and others

I currently don't have any droning or rattle yet the car sounds amazing at wot and just a little meaner under 3k. I only hand tightened the bolts and used lock tight. I did make sure the exhaust clamps were not touching the oem bmw pipe clamps where it meets the PE as predicted this will cause rattling but so far so good. I will keep everyone posted

I will be posting sound clips tomorrow... While in my garage and revving the motor I can hear the suction noise from the euro intake which I never heard before with prior setup. I'm not sure if this is directly related but mpg on dash went up even with the hard driving?

not sure why you quoted me on that, but sadly, the closest awd dyno is like 2 hours away from me.

Also thank, I'll take a look under there again. It was weird because it didnt start making a noise until about a year and a half after i got my secondaries removed

I quoted you specifically because I'm most interested in what your car puts down.

removing 2ndary cats will improve MPG, I know first hand because I've gone back and forth with aftermarket and stock with up to 5 different set ups. With hard driving, it's more or less, until you drive like lola, it'll go higher.

Are you on OEM manifolds? If so and if power/sound is worth it, I'm purchasing these. So hurry please. Hahaha

Hahaha. Right on! Btw, pinoye90 where'd you purchase it for $280. The cheapest I found it was for $320. And are you still on stock manifolds?
