Great looking components! Question - where does the rain water go when it gets into the hood vents? Does it get your engine all wet or is it drained elsewhere somehow?

Everything in your engine bay (if stock) is completely sealed against water. You can rinse your engine off with a hose and have no worries. The water will simply fall down past the headers and the turbos (heck, it may even cool them off a bit ) and fall to the oil pan/under panelling, which will then drain the water down a little bit past the transmission, or on either side, near the front control arms.

It is true that you will get a little bit more dust under the hood, but you should really wash your engine bay occasionally anyways!

This is why I asked the question I did.

It should say

If looks is your thing we have you covered.

That should be the slogan

Also, Vorsteiner is one of maybe 4 companies in this industry offering Dry Vacuum Formed Carbon Fiber, a racing-grade technology used to achieve both light-weight and high tensile strength. The weight reductions made possible by Vorsteiner parts increase your car's power-to-weight ratio while improving ventilation (or downforce in the case of a bootlid) and improving aesthetics.

So you, sir, should do your research a bit
I know what your sayinf but if you actualy ran instumented testes with a cf trunk and hood against a car without the difference is Minimal at best. If you run a car with the Dinan tune against a car without one the difference is huge. Like I said I get the point but it seems like there are better slogans. No one can doubt that Vorstiener has anything less than the most quality parts you money can buyand I would love to have some of the products on my car but it is just a strange slogan to me. Longs car look great with that hood though. That is the nicest hood I have ever seen for any BMW.

nah.....u cut down on a lot of weight in the longrun...i hav the single-sided hood and it looks great but since wen u can u pick up an entire hood on ur own? im gettin the trunk to cut down on weight in the front and bak soon. its like buyin wheels. u try to continue to cut down on weight which is y ppl get forged wheels. my style 230s were 50-52lbs a piece. i switched over to my volk te37s, and those r 20-21lbs. i def feel the difference wen i floor it. u cant deny cuttin down on weight by goin w/ cf.
