BTW just a funny picture for you guys. We happen to have a V-35 sitting in our office so I thought I'd show you how light this hood really is. I'm not a big guy as you can see

You The vents would let water in from behind the BOV, though, so you probably want it facing forward.

I'd say it's not a concern whatsoever, but we'll run tests on our 335i when we get it just in case

Ok cool, I have the BOV facing forward (towards the headlight) right now.... so I'm just asking about pure speculation. I'm not even sure if the vents right on top of it, just randomly asking. Thanks again for the help.

Are they offering the M3 skirts now? One would get that impression from the shots.

I know where you are going with that, it's not really an out of the place question. Just curious as Vorsteiner makes mostly body components, so I wondered if they planned on M3 style skirts.

Cool! Now, about that Vorsteiner M3-style CF front lip spoiler for the Mtech bumper we talked about... Please have it ready by December....pleeeeez.

That with the Mtech front, these M3 sides, the Mtech rear and the Vorsteiner trunk and you have the ultimate look for the E92 IMO.

Also, Vorsteiner is one of maybe 4 companies in this industry offering Dry Vacuum Formed Carbon Fiber, a racing-grade technology used to achieve both light-weight and high tensile strength. The weight reductions made possible by Vorsteiner parts increase your car's power-to-weight ratio while improving ventilation (or downforce in the case of a bootlid) and improving aesthetics.

So you, sir, should do your research a bit
Jlevi, I would love to see research on it! Until then this hood is JUST FOR LOOKS and to save a couple of pounds. But you could save pounds anywhere! I would LOVE to see a dyno! Also due to the fact that long customized the diffuser to fit quads is very misleading.

I'll be happy to do some tests to measure temperature under the hood before and after the V-35, however dynoing something like this is really not feasible due to variations in temperatures outside on different days, and most importantly, because something like this is designed to eliminate heatsoak. This means that it intends to maintain maximum power for a longer period of time than stock (much like an intercooler), as opposed to "adding" horsepower. And, since this varies based on how long the car has been running for each run, and since you can't exactly keep a car on a dyno for an hour or two... it's just not feasible.

You'll just have to settle for some measurements of how much the V-35 drops the temperatures under the hood
Also, I suggest you check out that snow picture above. If that doesn't convince you that we designed this hood for function and form, then nothing will
