I made it pretty clear why I asked... if someone doesnt have good pictures of their car it's very likely they'll use other cars that look like theirs. Do you get off trying to put people on the spot? Because this is a "for sale" post, not a "roast everyone who comments on someone else's for sale post". If you're not buying a 335i then why are you trolling the for sale section?

You are wrong. And wrong again. Its his pictures, and they are good since they are taken by phone. If you dont like them then aske for more interior pictures, not jest assume its not his car.

OP claims that he bought the car last week, yet the tags are still on the keys in one of the photos. Shift doesn't let you drive home with the car unless you paid cash in full, or until they clear things up with financing -- this usually takes 2-3 business days, sometimes longer. So as you can see, caveat emptor. There are many red flags to this post which is worthy of suspicion.

the pictures were taken when i took a test drive with shft...i am working with shift to buy this car....the deposit on hold is mine..and i dont intend to resell the car..was just testing waters if i do in future, will it hold value ?? and seems like it will based on the number of calls i got ! thanks !

Agreed on the suspicion.

Shift.com had the same car as per VIN and photos listed on eBay for the past month. Why is the car listed in an attempt to pass title on cars.com, ebay, etc. when upon inquiry a buyer has a deposit -- an option to buy, holding the offer open -- for an admitted "pending" sale?

Because Shift.com's inventory is as limited as their business ethics. They're playing the shell game with listings to attract viewers to their website.

I wonder how many vehicles they are deploying with a similar strategy. I do not have the time or resources to invest to find out, but I do know the attorneys general for the states in which they do business would be interested to know.

As would their competitors, who may have a cause of action under Section 43(a) of the Lanham Act, which protects businesses against the unfair competition of misleading advertising or labeling of Shfity competitors.
