I actually got all the info for the gear knob I needed on this forum, link:

Tip: buy just the connectors @ your BMW dealer, all the other pins and wires you can buy in any electronics shop.
If you buy everything needed for the harness @ BMW it will cost more than a 100$, ask me how I know..

P.S. If you don't have the smoker package with the ashtray you'll have to modify the power source, I took it directly from the iDrive wires.

TnQ, I drive the car daily, do loads od km/miles every year and it has to be 100% reliable, thus why I'm a little bit sick on the details..

The tyres are Toyo Snowprox S954 XL, stock dimensions 225/35/19 front and 255/30/19, both index 92W.
You have a pretty small choice of winter tyres in that 255 dimension, only Toyo and Dunlop, at least in Europe..

I'm actually thinking about getting some F30 wheels that fit on the calipers and return to the 225/40/18 - 255/35/18 combo, you can get a much better tyre like Continental for the price you pay for the Toyo 19".


KW V2 is everything I expected and more, a very versatile coilover that can survive track days without breaking a sweat, and on the other hand is pretty comfortable in a daily use.
Just as a comparison, comfortabler than any e9x with stock M suspension, even this low.

Nothing extreme, I needed something more serious and practical to tow my '67 Merc project and the Z06 to track days, the 335d has more than enough power but it makes no sense to kill it with towing, and for the occasional snowboard trips with the missus and crew..
I was considering an X5, buy you get more bang for the buck with a Jeep, plus I love US cars..


295kkm on the clock, that's around 180k us miles, currently collecting parts and planning a big service next month: timing chain, injectors, new gaskets all around (turbo, manifolds, vacuum lines, etc), thermostats, glow plugs, refresh the paint, powder coat the summer wheels, maybe lower it another 1/2", and so on..
