FBO dyno comparison

First run (blue) is my car completely stock with the BMW performance exhaust
Second run (red) is the same car, full boltons (3 stage manifold, AFE SI, AA headers, SS mid pipes, BMW PE, BPC tune) and ideal conditions (E85* because SOME people think it helped )
Last run (green) is the same as the second, but 110* ambient temps (no E85)

Both SAE and STD correction factor displayed here

I don’t have any. All of the dynos I’ve done after the few were at a shop that had a dinky fan and 90* temps that caused the car to pull timing.

Anyhow, you should probably get a dyno of your own - it’s time.

As for turbo life, I have JB4 and FBO, soon to be a BPC tune with MILVs, and a turbo inlet. It’s awesome, but I do miss the N52s sound and that feeling racing towards redline.

Doesn't have a graph but apparently BPC Tuned and 252 whp. N54 intake and E85. s65 injectors.

Same car prior to E85. Graph at the end of the video. 2010 BMW 128i 6mt slicktop. N54 intake manifold. N54 throttle body. OEM 128i airbox. Charcoal filter delete. Resonator delete. 135i muffler. Active Autowerke Catless headers. BPC tuned.

I do want to apologize to you for not doing dyno with MILVS (with headers etc.). It was not for lack of trying.

In hindsight, I should've just went to another dyno shop.

I do need to get my own dyno, you are right it’s time for sure. I just got done installing another n54 manifold on my car today. When I did the first swap I messed up some of the ports I made and battled with vacuum leaks the last few months. I decided to scrap it and just build another one which I installed today.

I also finally got my lightweight wheels installed yesterday, Apex Arc8’s. So the car is fully done now. I went with the bronze wheels in 9.0” et30 square and Michelin PS4S tires. This combo is about 6lbs per wheel/tire lighter than my old set up. Hoping to get 13.7 or better 1/4 mile on a paper slip from the track this winter. Next cool Friday night we get I’m going to make some passes.

I drove a M240 on the road course at Palm Beach international raceway a few weeks ago. There was definitely a notable difference in power! But as a whole I didn’t like the car any better or less than mine. The power was great but I love the steering in mine more I have the m3 steering rack swap and really like the feedback and ratio more than the electric rack. I was surprised the back seats on my e92 and the m240 seemed equally comfortable. It doesn’t feel like the 2 series gives up any interior room to the e92 even though it looks smaller.

I didn’t snap any pics on the manifold but this time I used some metal fittings for the gas tank vent into the manifold. Last time I had used some threaded plastic ports and tried to seal with rtv.

I got these 3/8” fittings below from Home Depot along with a few stainless washers and neoprene washers. This is a much better set up for making ports...

Uugghhnnnn, that looks so HOT.

I had the same wheels - ARC8s with 17x9 et30 hyper silver, with 255 all around.
I LOVED the concavity of the wheels, but I don’t think they will fit on my F22, so I gave them to my friend to put on his E90.

But the F22 is smaller than the E92, the back seat is tighter, the interior materials cheaper. The steering in sport mode does have nice* weight to it, and yes - it’s fast. But man, I do miss my e92. And trying to figure out just WHEELS for this car is a struggle, nothing fits well, looks good and fits a nice amount of rubber.
