N55 codes - 29D0 + 290A

Hi guys, need a little help chasing down a gremlin on a 2011 N55 335i.

I'm getting the below codes:

Active Codes:
29D0 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor. Short circuit to B+

Shadow Codes:
290A - Intake air temperature sensor: Multiple Fault

I'm not getting any CEL. Symptoms seem to be a somewhat laggy feeling at low load and occasional dips in RPM when coasting to a stop in neutral.

I've had charge pressure sensor codes in the past, which I've since resolved by replacing the MAP sensor in the charge pipe (think this may have gone when my stock charge pipe blew), so I know it shouldn't be that sensor.

Do you know if these codes are for the MAF sensor prior to the turbo? I'm less willing to just replace it due to the sensor running £300 from the dealer or £200 or so from the likes of VDO. The only other option would be the MAP sensor in the manifold, but would expect that to present with charge pressure codes.

If I reset the Intake Mass Flow adaptation, the car feels much better, requiring less pedal to get up to speed and overall much more torquey feeling under lower loads. This will stay like this for a bit, then the symptoms will come back after a while. If I clear the codes, the timing of the symptom re-appearing and the code re-appearing seem to match.

PS. These codes seem to often turn up results for misfires on cyl 4, but I know it's not this. Spark plugs and coils have been replaced recently.

Relevant modifications:
BMS Intake (I've tried with the stock intake, same symptoms)
VRSF 7.5" Stepped Intercooler
Wagner high-flow catted downpipe
Masata Aluminium Charge Pipe

29d0 is the wire/sensor between the air filter and turbo.. First sensor past air filter.. Check that.

Hey I’m having very similar problems with my 2011 n55 335i. Same codes are shown along side code 2774 - Air Volume, plausibility: Air volume too high. Ik this is a dead thread but I can’t find any more info on these codes and was wondering if you were able to figure out what the cause of your issue was. I have same symptoms aswell.
