winter tire fitment question

can you fit 225/40/18 on stock staggered sport package 18s all around??

how about 235/40/18 all around?

i ran 225/45/18 and 245/40/18 blazzacks for the last 3 yrs but i found a great deal on a set of same size tires. i had a friend that told me i can, but i was skeptical.

can anyone chime in?

yes you can...I ran all around 225/40/18 on 189's for 2 years. I believe 235/40/18 will work too....but winter tires, thiner the better.

I have been running 225/40/18 on staggered 18s for the past 2 years.

skinnier tire usually better in snow. I would go for 225 and add spacer at the rear to make it flush look if you want.
according to tirerack, 235/40/18 should fit on rims from 8" up to 9.5" wide

yea,, narrower is the way to go. I would do 225 instead of 235.

i just don't want it to stretch too much and put stress on the tire so i was thinking 235

but if you folks say 225, then i'll do the 225

thanks
