2019 Coilover Reviews-Xi & Rwd

The archives have old reviews, but this is 2019 and we need some new thoughts, ideas, long-term reviews. Which coils have you been rocking, how long, and overall impression?

BC Racing BR on my xi, only for about 20k miles but no issues at all. They ride fine. For the price, I think they're pretty dang good.

I've seen good reviews on the h&r coils too. I've really been wondering what people have to say about those. However, the BC look like a really good value as well. Any particular reason you went BC?

I went with Billstein B14 PSS because mainly of their lifetime warranty and cheaper price. Had them for about 10 months now.

Only negative is they are only partially threaded coilovers, I didn't know much about coilovers before I bought them. But I can still get pretty low but I have to max out the fronts.

Sorry I don't really have pics since my phone wiped and it's winter now so I raised it back up and running winter set up. I also never took pictures of before.

I am RWD.

Have you tried different ride heights and the difference in handling? At its highest, is it same height as stock?

Ideally you'd want a lower COG, so yes technically lower would handle better but when it's so low that there's almost no travel, any bump in the road under high load leads to near infinite spring rate (hitting bump stop) and throws the whole car out of whack. It's a trade-off, as are most things.

I haven't put it near stock but I can say I would think it could actually go higher than stock based on how long the threaded shock bodies are.

Honestly, no. I think they're really good bang for the buck.
