You should just do the F30 front conversion with that bumper you're working on.

How are you wiring the LEDs for the angel eyes? I see you soldered sets of 3 in series. Are you going to be wiring the sets in parallel with each other?

Are you using a constant current source? Or using direct current and limiting it with a resistor?

Although this is not the ideal way to wire LEDs, you can wire them all in parallel so the current is divided equally among the LEDs. This gives you less control of the voltage in each LED but it's MUCH easier to mount and solder.

That's what I did with my angel eyes. I was not going to solder sets of 10 LEDs in series and then wire them in parallel with each other. Doing that for 285 LEDs would take forever. It took long enough with what I did. I used a 1000mA constant current drive source (for each ring) so each LED sees about 15mA give or take of current. The LEDs I used have a max drive current of 80mA so since they are underdriven by so much, heatsinking is not needed.

Anyway, progress looks great! Looking forward to the final product.

im doing 3 in series and will wire them in parellel with resistor limiting the current. im using 5050 smd so i don't have to use as many led to fill up the rings.

i used and online calculator to calculate what resistor i needed.

what driver are u using to power the led..

Wow......came across your thread. It is 4:56 at night and I read through when you first started out to do this wide body 335i. Your car is better and more unique then any M3. Just because you made it with your own hard work.

I wish I had half of your talent and guts to make every unique and crazy idea come to life on my car.

I am truly impressed with your skills from making it all happen at every single point without ever giving up or losing your cool at tons of haters.

I love this new idea of yours to turn your LED halo into those found of DTM BMW Race car. Your car will look great with those.

Your car is better and more unique then any M3. Just because you made it with your own hard work.
Keep up the good work and good luck for future. Man you are my hero when it comes to DIY

No problem man you deserve the praise.

Half of the asses that come on here to give you hassle neither have the skills nor balls to do any thing half as difficult as what you did with your car.

They are wanna be fake enthusiast. They do not have the balls to hardly do anything to their cars for the fear that they will mess up their ultra ubber 325i or 328i. There are others who will pay some body shop tons of money for few mods to come across as some half fake enthusiast. While all they did was to flaunt how quick they are to pay some one to make their car look different.

Oh and do not get me started on the losers that say "YOU COULD HAVE GOT M3 FOR ALL THAT EFFORT". Yeah right losers that stock M3 would still be nothing but a mere stock M3. Have you ever looked around they are running dime a dozen out on the streets.

He wanted to make unique modified 3 series with his passion and hard work. Why don't you haters that are quick to point out flaws in his car try doing even half of what he has done by yourself and then come talk some shit. I bet you...... that your creation would fall apart just by the light hitting from the camera flash.

Anyways let me get off these haters who come in here to just bust your chops. Keep trucking bro and do not lose your passion for fabricating and working on your car instead of paying body shops tons of money.
