Helix intercooler

Hey I'm looking at buying a Helix FMIC.

Have you seen any online shops selling a Helix for cheaper than $1206 US$ delivered to Australia?

Mod bargains $959 plus shipping $?

PTF $875 plus shipping $331 total $1206

Helix $875 plus shipping? Emailed before the site updated last week and yesterday with no reply.

I got mine direct from Helix and shipped it through http://www.shipito.com/

From memory it was around $150 - $180 for shipping...

Write to Helix and ask for the box size & weight and enter it into their calculator: http://calculator.shipito.com/en/#/

Choose Hawthorne as the shipping destination. Should arrive at your door in about 3 - 5 days once it leaves Shipito.

Although it is a VERY nice FMIC, you won't get any great real world gains on some of the cheaper units around. Every little bit adds up though I guess!

Thanks

I live in Darwin so It's always hot.
Godspeed works ok but I'm sure a proper intercooler will show some lower IATs.

The reason I want this intercooler is from irresponsibly purchasing a previous intercooler by price and not researching.

Now I believe Helix would be most appropriate for my mods and temperature of Darwin.

$600 buck for shipping!?
That's highway robbery, have you tried using a freight forwarder?

Cheapest so far $1196 US$ delivered through X-ph.com

Ams seems nice but I'm set on a Helix. No facts but I'm hoping the bigger frontal area will give me a couple of degrees cooler IAT's, as it is 30+ degrees everyday.

With my godspeed intercooler the coolest IAT's are 105-110 crusing at 100km/ph

Someone suggested freight forward, I don't really understand it so I'm staying away from the idea.

Well I understand, but the AMS is a quality fmic and i doubt the helix is $3-400 better

Just another option for you that's all!

if you run a tune... a new FMIC is a must.. wait till you see your stock IC... IMO should be done same time you tune.
