have you used these discs personally socks? what do you think of them? I know theyre for 07-10 but I'm sure they'll have em for an 11+ as well

I'm after a cross drilled or slotted (for looks) rotor that will offer equal or slightly better performance than stock when paired with akebono's. must have 0 squeal as it absolutely cracks me. I know eb said the DBA work 100%, any other options?
Hey Mate
No I have not use these, I got BRM which I dont think they sell any more... why not try ADR here in Oz for half the price (see Coupes FS in the classified)

Zimmerman are great - haven't tried their drilled version, but their regular vented rotors perform quite for regular driving. Coupled with Zimmerman Pads they offer silent and responsive performance.

if you use non-oem pads, do you need to get them 'coded' or anything? Is there a warning sensor on them?

Aside from akebono, any other suitable low-dust pads? AM thinking of taking the car to ACT Brakes or Costellos, rather than the dealer.

My service indicator still says 100,000kms until front brakes!!! But it's been like that for 2 years

btw, does the service indicator work off the sensor, or just a 'countdown' based on distance the car travels?

I can't believe you all love and recommend akebono pads. I drove my friends 335i with them and felt like something wrong with his brakes he said wait another couple hundred miles they are new. Drove the car again and I was like they are not for me. If you don't mind the brake dust stick with oem or second choice is HPS 5.0 which is great performance pads. I would never ever get akebono..

Did they feel wooden to you with no feel?

I've had ceramic pads before and didnt like the feel of them at low speed at all.

FWIW I use stoptech street performance pads and they have minimal dusting and are very quite and pull up ok when cold (they're a street pad light track day use) and were quite cheap for a performance pad.

Akebono needs to be run in a fair bit before they bite. After like 2000kms then it'll work like oem.
