Best things to see/do in Venice

Mrs and I are off to Venice and wondered what are the top things to see and do for a 3/4 day period.

Only ever been once and it was during the Venice carnival did the usual sights but the carnival made it the atmosphere was incredible

Thanks. We got back yesterday and had a great time. Venice is definitely a unique place for sure!
