I'm looking to sell my LCI 2009 E90 328i xDrive (Premium, Cold Weather, 35k-ish miles, only some cosmetic damages) later this year. I got a quote from one of the bigger BMW dealerships here (I think it's their main one) for around $12k to $13k. This matches up to what I'm seeing on NADA Guides pretty well, but when I look on Autotrader, and a bunch of other car sales sites, I'm seeing similarly-specced cars with higher mileage (usually around 50k or 60k) going for $22k. I'd assume that my car would be worth selling for slightly more than that, which is a huge variance from what the dealer quoted me.

Am I being low-balled on the quote by this dealer/should I try other dealers, or should I try selling on my own (and if so, what price range should I be trying for?)

trade in value is always alot lower.. so they can recondition and resell for more.

Try reselling your car for about 2 months. The dealer's giving you about $1000 less (or even less) than they would buy the car for at a Dealer Auction.

What do you mean about 2 months? As in shop it around different dealers for 2 months or resell on my own?
