AAP has good deals all the time. Check there website and find battery with same parameters. Someone local might register battery for you. I might do that as well.

Thanks boss, really appreciate that!

Also, any reason NOT to get an AGM battery? Everything I've heard is very positive about AGM batteries.

I actually am often in Astoria at my girlfriend's apartment. If that's at all near to you, I'd be happy to register yours too.

Thanks a million for all the replies!

In doing my research, I'm leaning towards an AGM battery. Would you be able to register that type of battery as well?

FYI, I'm located in Jersey City so local is best.

I can install and register for you using the protool app. Just buy the battery and bring it to me. I can register different batteries with protool. - Brooklyn ny 11223

you can get a brand new battery and code it yourself for almost fraction (or even more) of the $400 cost.

but keep in mind its kind of a hassle if your battery is in the trunk..you'll need to remove the battery and the cradle with a long extension tool.

even so if you do all that its better than paying the dealer $400+

Don’t do this. You have to register it so it charges properly.

if you don't mind driving up North NJ area, check out Kings Automotive and talk to Jackie. He can doing the coding and wont charge you dealer price either. btw, $400 doesn't sound too bad. Before I knew Jackie I got hosed and paid for OE battery and coding service for $550.
