Calling all Scotland Members

Ok well on looking to get my car on a rolling road i came up with an idea we could get the north of scotland members together for a rolling road meet. No dates or anything fatomed out will have to look at my rota but there is a rolling road in aberdeen which will cost £30 each for between 11 and 25 cars. Will be calling them tomorrow to see what they say but just want to put feelers out and see if anyone is interested?

well yeah me too, i work offshore also but could try sort something out, will look at dates when i call the guy tomorrow, will probably be a saturday.

Well i am away on Monday for 2 weeks (possibly 3, shutdown season again) so was thinking start of November time, see how it fits in with everyone else.

Well i have never used them, if you say they are no good, well thats all good, where do you think would be best to go? I am up for travelling to Glasgow, there is B for BMW there, i am open to suggestions but thought it would be good for the scotland members to have a meet.

I have used WP in the past and thought he was ok. I know the evo & scooby boys have had a few rolling road days there.

Well i have interest from a few of my mates, we just finished a red top conversion on a vectra GSI, so that might be going, also got a rebuilt 2.5 V6 vectra. Also could have a Mk2 golf with racing cams, loads of internal work running on webbers. Thought it might be a good day out, aberdeen is also quite central. North for edin/glas and south for inverness/islands.

been to many RR Days with BMWCC and never seen an auto get decent results yet

i will be phoning the company tomorrow after i look at my rota, will be in novemeber i hope, i will post a selection up once i have spoken to them. Preliminary info is around £30 per car for 2 runs, i will see if they can lay out some other things for us, food or drinks ect, make it a good day if we can.

Yeah but if you look at Evlove'sRolling road results I bet 80% are autos. It is not the auto it is the rolling road operator that is the prob.

Select 4th gear let it lock ( around 28mph) then floor it, but not to the kick down stage. Job done

Yeah i got smary pants mate, got a print out here, going to sww what dates they can do tomorrow when i call them. What rota you on mate, we could possible do it next time i am home then, be start of october?! i will be home for 3 weeks so between 29/9 and 20/10. Could do it then i think, i have now got a mate interested with a cavalier Turbo few guys going over from the island because we aint got anything like that here.

I go offshore on the 30th of Septamber for 12 days then off to Florida for 2 weeks. So not home till 28th Oct then back offshore on 4th November.
