Headlight coated?

I've been searching and I keep getting mixed info. My headlights on my 07 328i need fixed. What's the correction to do this?

Thank you

You just need your headlights polished. The pitting won't go away totally butit will be 10 times better. I did mine and then had xpel clear film put on them.

sand and polish.

it's easiest if you just commit to pulling the headlights.

I would definitely pull the lights. Thanks for the help. I read that some people say there was a clear coat on them but it didn't sound right.

You'd be surprised how many imperfections can be removed just by polishing alone (no sanding). You will need to polish with a machine and quality polish.

If you want to get the light to a brand new finish look, you will need to wet sand all the stone pits. Going from low grit sand paper to high grit. The more time and more sanding with high grit you do the better the results.

Sanding is then followed by polishing, and then sealing (whether it be a coating or a film)

First try just polishing, you may be satisfied with the results. I was.

This is probably the best and most comprehensive explanation and guide to solve any headlight hazing problems:
