CIC to NBT EVO retrofit parts list?

Looking into doing this.. I've seen lots of posts with lots of scattered information, most of which seems to be regarding CCC to CIC or CCC to NBT..

Does anybody have a definitive list of the parts needed for a CIC to NBT EVO retrofit? Would like to start gathering up the components to do this. My car is a 2012 E93 with individual audio (S752A). I've already retrofit a backup cam to my CIC, hoping this would move over to the NBT Evo as well.

Thanks!

NBT Evo HU
NBT NEXT or EVO CID
Custom made CID to evo display cable
X5 BT farka cable
Mic wiring harness
F30 radio amp
F30 Audio amp
most terminator
eNBT emulator
$6FL center console usb port + wire
Ethernet wire
wiring pins
mis wire
k+D can cable
Enet cable
BMW standard tool + Esys
FSC codes
Map update files

The evo does not work with the aftermarket backup cameras. You will need a F30 TRSVC, pdc module and camera to keep your backup camera. You will need to find a way to mount the camera to the trunk. This is a involved and expensive retrofit even if you got a professional kit. Some people may skip the new amps but you will run into issues with the E90 amps.

Thanks for the info, I didn't realize I'd need two new amps - is CIC to NBT (non-EVO) any simpler of a process with my car? I do already have the center console USB/audio port as well (S6FLA)

With the NBT Next you can keep your aftermarket camera and you can keep your amps. The NEXT HU and CID are 1/2 the price as well. If you have factory $6FL you can take the USB wire and move it from the trunk to the dash. Kinda of a pain but to save $60.

What is this NBT Next you speak of? I have a 2007 335i that had the CCC but I was looking to replace it with the NBT since it died and I didn't see the point if the newer systems existed that I could go to.

CIC is the LCI E90 system. I sell my base cic retrofit kits for dirt cheap. The NBT Next is the successor of the CIC from around 2013-2015. Then they had the NBT EVO silver top without carplay and crap in 2015-2016. Then the holly grail is the NBT evo black top with carplay. This is the last system you are able to retrofit into the E90.

The NBT retrofit still cost upwards of $2,000 DIY but it does have a combox built in.

Oh wow I didn't even realize you were the same person I was asking the questions of. Pardon, it was late when I was looking this info up so I was all over the place.

See I don't even use apple products, so I'm not sure how worthwhile it would even be for me to go. I need to see what else the NBT Evo black has to offer since having to do new amps and what not would be a huge hassle when all I want is a system that looks modern, can possible play videos if I want to at non-potato quality and bluetooth audio streaming with radio capabilities. Maps and all would be great to work as well.

I really need to get a NBT in my car and play with it to see if it is worth it or not. I would not sell anything that I wouldn't have in my car.

That's kind of what I was thinking myself because the NBT looks like it would be nifty, but at the end of the day I just want a user interface that's more up to date than the CCC, streaming music via bluetooth and updated maps if I were able. That's it.

Well the above and reverse camera. That's pretty sweet too.

Any of you want to collaborate on putting together a parts list with part numbers?
I'm having the hardest time finding some of these things... like the short bluetooth cable, for example.

Can NBT or NBT EVO be coded to use existing COMBOX? I have a 2g combox running on my cic setup with an active subscription and would like to keep that. As far as I understand, VINs cannot be coded to the NBT system either to all of it, or just to the internal combox. But perhaps I'm mistaken?

They can't. They both incorporate 80% of the combox functionality, and things like bluetooth and usb will go to the wrong place.

You could try to convince bmw to transfer your subscription to a TCB (3g) or an ATM (4g), but they are apparently very difficult to work with on that.
