Going on a trip...should I be worried about this sidewall issue?

I assume I'd have to go a lot deeper for something to happen but what does everyone here think?

It's not into the carcass, just the extra rubber used as a "bumper" to protect the carcass. Not going to be a problem, but worth keeping an eye on.

Thank you Floyd! I was just told by my tire shop as long as I don't see cording I should be just fine.
