Yes, I'm on over 50oz of water and still feel awful. It's weird how sometimes you can drink one amount and feel fine and other times it really makes you feel like crap.

I think it depends on what's in your system before you start drinking.

I try to have lots of water before I start and usually drink 4 or 5 glasses of wine and never (rarely) have a hangover.

I know that does nothing to make you feel better now. Sorry.

When they send out the next jury duty survey mail, check off the box about being willing to serve on a Grand Jury. I'm not self-employed, and my employer had to pay me full wages to serve. It is a two-month term, and you all meet twice per week. It was like a mini paid vacation!

Unlike a regular jury for a trial, the Grand Jury operates without a judge in the room. Jurors can ask questions of witnesses, and about 98% of the time the person being indicted doesn't even know that the Grand Jury is hearing their case until after a decision is made and an inditement handed down. Our whole group was sad when our term ended, and I would absolutely serve again if asked.....

1. That's another tax people don't want to pay for.
2. Then you have people that are depending on pay to give the state the outcome they want in a trial.

That seems like a TERRIBLE idea.

Funny you even had to type that out.
Not wanting to be a part of a jury is interesting. Goes to show how people are not interested in society in general, yet complain about government and rulings when it impacts them.

I have no problem doing the jury duty thing. I would find it very interesting to do the Grand Jury, but meeting twice a week for two months is a bit much to juggle with my normal responsibilities. No vacation for me.

A jury doesn't consist of 12 of your peers, but rather 12 people who were too dumb to get out of jury duty!!!!!

Speaking of court…..

….I confess traffic court was especially rewarding today. The individual who chose to fight his citation lost in court….and rightfully so. He showed his true colors to the judge, displaying the coarse and disruptive attitude toward her that he denied displaying during the traffic stop. It was vindicating poetry in motion.

i realized i don't love my car anymore

it sounds immature, but i tried washing it today and i was not feeling it at all. the car's disgusting (been moving and it's been muddy rainy here) and it needs a wash but today just felt like a chore. i love washing my car otherwise, it's almost therapeutic to make it shiny and smooth. also remembered how i never had this with my previous car

so i'm not sure what to do. definitely having some sort of a quarter life crisis too and i was kinda thinking the car would be a "stable" thing through this transition phase, but i don't know how much i want to keep it further. im not going to sell it soon, i think, but i dont think i'd be too sad if i didn't drive it for a few weeks, either.

since we're all car guys and gals here, have you guys ever had this? it's new to me, i've never felt like a car i've owned/driven just feel so mundane and "meh" and replacable. not really sure what to do, i dont think i should act solely on impulse and feelings but i'm also not feeling too happy about spending $1500/mo all-in on something that i'm no longer fully bought-in to

It might not be the car. It might be you having new/other priorities in life.
I love my car but no longer focus on washing/waxing it. Just want to drive it.

You pay 1500 for a 330i?

that's true, i've been mentally occupied with other stuff. been feeling like drifting away from car stuff locally in general too, but that's more so being tired of the people than the cars themselves.

and that's true, when i get in for a proper drive i really enjoy it, just lately been driving through the city to and from work and home, haven't had much opportunity to "drive" it.

And not really but kind of, when all said and done. That $1500 includes the loan, parking, gas, insurance. I like numbers so ive been keeping track, the car cost me ~$10/day since i bought it in gas alone; $300 for parking, loan, insurance, etc...

At the end of the day the car costs me ~$1500/mo to own/drive/operate/etc.

Ah ok I thought it was just the loan!!

I wish I wasn’t a car guy… having no car at all and saving 1500 a month would be a dream! Lol

I, too, think this has little to do with the car and more to do with other moving parts in your life. You are going through a transition and it's emotionally/mentally taxing.

Just turned 40. Copped an M8. Literally the definition of midlife crisis and I love every second of it.
