This is what I'm looking at now...
Don't get too excited....I do mean quite literally (from my hotel window)!
I've been quite impressed with Kuala Lumpur after 3 days here....done a couple touristy things, amazed at how modern and clean the city is and although the price of things like clothes etc are shockingly expensive, there's nothing a bit of bartering can't sort...for instance, I was in a Tommy Hilfiger store today and mentioned that the prices were more than in the UK for the three shirts I was looking at. I was then offered 40% off...just like that (no effort - just for asking!)... Hilfiger shirts for Next prices! We're off to Thailand tomorrow for a week on the beach...I'll see if I can get myself a bargain tailor made suit! It's going to be a hard week |

Wow, what a view. What hotel are you in?
I'm heading out to stay at Sepang Gold Coast on the palm in September, having a few days in KL on the way home. Not booked anything for the KL element of the stay yet. Who did you fly out there with, out of interest.

Staying in the Traders hotel...it's part of Shangri-La and very very nice without the silly prices of the Mandarin Oriental next door (wi-fi is shit slow though...you won't believe how hard that photo was to post on my shite-pad!). It gets great reviews on trip advisor so was a no brainer for a cost vs luxury ratio! It's got to be one of the best hotels for views of the Petronas towers too (as long as you pay the extra for the view rooms).
Flew with Malaysian...whist the service was good and the space in cattle of the extremely generous stretch out variety, the 747 that was our bus for 13 or so hours was a rickety old thing. Virgin are still my favourite but then I've yet to try the well regarded Emirates and Singapore yet so I accept my experience of airlines s limited (other than knowing both BA and American are disappointingly vs Virgin) |

I think that's the one the missus has 'picked out' as favourite.
I think there's a roof top bar with stunning views?

Thoroughly recommended! Kaishang...didn't see a donutshop as we found a nice German bar in the semi-outside restaurant/bar area where I got some Bavarian beer and sausage! Yep, I really took in the local culture today |

Blimey - spectacular!
Never knew KL had such amazing stuff to see! Spent the day on a secluded beach sunning ourselves and playing with the kids then I had a fantastic surf in World class waves. 15 minutes from home |

Andrew, Sukumwit Road in Bangkok is well known for their suits but I got a couple of silk suits and although they were nice, they lasted no time when I got home. (I was out there for nine months in the mid nineties - so a bit out of date perhaps!).

Well, KL was surprisingly nice, much better than I thought (how modern it was is what impressed me most...I'm not one for historical places!).
But things have taken a turn...I mean, just look at what I've had to endure since arriving at my resort in Thailand yesterday..... Im just sat looking at this...I think I might stretch my legs and arms and pop over for beer now Seriously, other than being a twat and showing off, I've got to say if anyone ever considers a beach holiday to Thailand then give this place a look (Indigo Pearl, Phuket)...as resorts go, it's the best I've stayed in. Its one of the best rated on Trip Advisor and sat here, I can see why...although it's quite a way out from the busier spots of Phuket (which might not be a bad thing) and its not all-inc which means the swim up bar is getting pricey! No doubt once I've had a few more beers I'll continue to be a cunt and post up more photos for you guys in tropical Blighty |

Not too shabby!
You will be pleased to hear that it is schorchio in the UK. My wife is really pi**ed off as he is visiting her parents in Spain at the weekend and the weather forecast there is dreadful. Enjoy! |

And heres what entertained me yesterday....anyone recognise this from the Bond film 'Man with the Golden Gun'?
It's where the 'laser' popped out from the rock lol! And here's the beach Bond landed his seaplane on... And the entrance to Scaramanga's lair.... The odd thing is that the glass sliding doors to the lair (and the inside of it) appear not to exist And there's nobody about with a third nipple or any midgets called NikNak....how very disappointing. Other than that, all is pretty much as seen on the film some 30 years ago! (and if you've never seen that Bond movie you'll have no idea what I'm on about!) |

And they'll sort out that fancy cream carpet in your living room. A bit of mascara and pink hair dye make cream coloured carpet look fantastic. Not to mention purple nail varnish and burns from GHDs. Not that I am wishing to put you off Actually how about as a response to "Don't eat that Twix in my car". No dad I will eat it surreptitiously and then stuff the wrapper under my leg so that the remaining chocolate melts on your cloth seats!!!!!!!!! |

Cloth seats, in a Masser, surely frowned upon .
Nice little jollies Andrew .
