OK, so I've been putting off going to the dealers for my recalls for the past few months. Finally, uninstalled Cobb and dropped it off few days ago. Got the car back with 4 new injectors, new fuel pump, and software update, and other maintenance work. Car feels brand new. Installed Cobb back on with out any problem with latest firmware(93 octane, 201). 2% wiper issue is gone with the new release. I've noticed the acceleration is less aggressive than the previous versions. It still feels jerky and power surge is more noticeable across the power band. I really hope Cobb comes up with a more linear throttle response in the next release. Just thought I'd share my experience with the install after the latest recalls.

Certain "xi" vehicles ended up requiring some additional speed limiter defeats (they still hit a limiter at ~135 mph). The v202 map update will address this issue for those as well

I'll do my best 2007 support is now on track final release as it appears the major issues observed during beta testing have been addressed. v202 maps that add additional throttle mapping options are also close to release. Concurrent background projects include bug fixes, logging improvements, AccessTUNER Race and Stage2 support. I am currently unable to provide an ETA for a completion on those projects, however.
Thanks everyone for your interest and continued support! Best regards- Lance Can you comment on the N55 progress - sounds likes its still not even on the Radar? |

Just updated Firmware on my COBB AP. When I go to install this on my car come Sat will I automatically have version 2.01 and 91 Octane in my list, or does this have to be downloaded separately?
How do I get V1 and V2 ETC Some quick help would be great guys! I will then be ready to throw her on by Saturday. Thanks! |

Those are beta 2.02 maps which are not officially released. I don't recommend using them just yet. They need bit more refining.

I note the two complaints about these (throttle response and thottle lift off), but outside of this, both maps drove great. So what reason do you have to ward them completely off 2.02? |

So far I've tested the base 2.02 93 octane and it has horrible throttle control. Even worse than the 2.01 and 2.00 maps. The base 2.02 beta map makes the car feel like the gas pedal is an ON-OFF switch. I am also getting multiple throttle closures unless I accelerate so slowly that the car is not making boost. The V2 2.02 map is specific for manual transmissions and it is supposed to be even more aggressive. I have not had the chance to test V1 and V2 just yet. I am sending logs to Cobb as I am test driving these, but unfortunately I did not get a chance to drive the car last night. Again, those are beta maps!!!

^^ Actually Rob told me that the regular v202 map is the most aggressive, then the V2 for manual cars and the V1 for Automatics is the least aggressive.
Either way i think the car feels like its down on power unless i get on the throttle with the regular v202 map. I'm going to swap back to 201 this weekend to see how it compares.

I have an 07 auto I had zero install issues when i installed like 2 weeks ago. I updated yesterday to the latest firmware and It does feel to be stronger and pull harder.
Also I had the previous updated version prior to this one and i did feel the surge or the continued jump after lifting out of the throttle. After having the flash for like 5 days i added AR dp's and a CP-e FMIC and the surge appeared to be gone could the add ons have really helped or coincidence? Well like i said newest flash i think feels great and strong but i can only compare against Dinan stg1 and this is a beast compared to that also love the dp's and fmic add's the car stays much cooler now. |

My experience, 2007 335i 6sd manual, 93 Octane Map 2.00 = Feels pretty good, lift off throttle issue, minor though Map 2.01 = Crazy surge at 40% throttle log shows full throttle Map 2.02 = Very similar to 2.01 crazy surge Map 2.02 V1 = 0-80% throttle, car felt stock power then 80-100% power comes on mildly Map 2.02 V2 = Felt same as V1 I did some logs with the 2.02 V1 to test the throttle accuracy. Tried cruising at 30%, 40% throttle. It seems between 40% to 80% throttle is the same. |

caradd,
You should send all of your logs and experience feedback from the beta maps to Cobb. It will help them fine tune them.
