335 xdrive too powerfull??Everything deactivated.

This is second time I take off ``pedal to the metal`` as they say, unfortunately again the DTC, 4x4, stability control, check engine, lights all go on, transmission was in sport mode, let it shift automatically, check engine code is p0219, whick is engine overspeed, my 540i, back in the day did not have this issue when kicked, did not go into limp mode, last time I believe it did, but I didn't really accelerate, not sure, shutting off car does remedy the problem, I just don't want to be a a stop light and a civic comes up to me , and beats me off the line, because now it's kind of scary to take off. I am still runnung on my winter set up, non staggered, 17inch. 2011 335 xdrive, sedan,.Posted also in xdrive talk. Thanks.

Oh man, we'll do whatever we can to help you, we don't want you losing to a Civic on a traffic light.

You need to disable the traction control......hold dtc button down until exclamation mark with a circle around appears in the centre cluster.
Now be careful!

Garage List
I would say that either your tires are sized inappropriately or your transmission is slipping like crazy. This is not a common problem. You definitely have a problem.

I do always disable traction control, so I can rule that out, thanks.

Can't help with your car problem, but if you get a complex based upon how a Civic could possibly smoke you at a light, I would look into that problem for sure

For anyone proposing turning off DSC- be wary of doing that in certain circumstances, because it can land you in a world of shit- though not likely with an xi, as the nanny systems are always there in some capacity no matter what you do.

Could be a transfer case issue. My friend had an issue with his and it threw up all those lights you mentioned. I don't have an AT but it could be that too.

IF P0219 is engine overspeed ( I didn't verify), then my votes in for slipping AT.
