You need to synce the two...the car will not start until they are communicating.....

If you are not getting any power to your dme starter wire in green harness in engine bay....it may be a synce issue.
The engine cranks and fires spark now so I think cas-dme sync is okay.

Still not starting, rpm gets to about 300 but it doesn’t bang. I think the engine might have lost compression?? Anyway, I will do some more diagnosis tomorrow and update.

Final update:

Finally got her started again. Turns out the cylinder walls were flooded with gas from all the cranking. I put a cap full of oil down each cylinder, cleaned the spark plugs with carb cleaner then she started right up.

Thanks for all the help everyone, I probably would have been stuck if not for all the help

For future reference, if you are trying to diagnose a bad fusable link with a multimeter, test for voltage with your key in the on position. This threw me off because with the key off, everything was getting power from the fuse.

I’m having problems with my valvetronic as well, I have a valvetronic dme internal fault code. Can you tell me exactly what you did to remove the valvetronic codes ?

I know this is old but I read the guy that said vvt motor will only give you limp mode lmfao n52 engine will crank and not start because you vvt isn't spinning cause its not getting power you sorted out the fuse on the battery that vet connects t. you'll have to b uy a new battery power displacement piece its the complete red red power box if you don't believe me then take a better put it to dc volts connect probe to neg battery and red on the tab inside where the vet wire connects to I bet you that fuse is blown.that your no start.

your no start is the codes 2a3f 2a77 you have to buy a new power distribution box its on the battery. you shorted out the fuse link that the vvt motor gets its power from. without that car won't start since that basically your throttle body it turns your engines camshafts lifters valves. im 100 percent sure.

it'll take a few try's at cranking due to no fuel in there lines so before starting pump the gas 2 3 times and crank it'll start.
