Leak from behind the motor (tranny?)
Hey All,
New onto the forums here. I found a leak under the car and just wanted your guy's input. Figured it wasn't a leak from the VCG or OFHG but appears to be behind the motor next to the cat. Any ideas? 2011 335i xdrive n55 (AT) @ 140k+ Tried to get a decent shot but couldn't fit my arm under the car. Last edited by nakek0a; 07-22-2021 at 08:56 PM.. |

Sounds like you took care of the main suspects. I assume neither your OFHG nor VCG are leaking either, as that would arguably be a bigger problem, since those can lead to slipped fan belts and other more catastrophic problems. One suggestion would be for you to nuke the underside of your engine bay with degreaser and use a power washer to clean all the gunk off. I did that in order to help me better verify where future leaks come from, as well as to cut down on further grime accumulation.
