i just saw a program on TV where they were discussing how stars will in a few trillion years will burn through all the hydrogen in the universe. and it will be dark and cold with only rocks floating around.

but if we humans are still around, we'll probably be creating stars (nuclear fusion baby!) to put them in the perfect place for planetary real estate. (i hope )
