N54 tensioner help!

I just installed a new tensioner, and the belt moves to the back of the tensioner. Is that normal? I will attach picture of how it looks. I even reinstalled the tensioner to make sure it is sitting correctly.

I'm sure you've done it already but make sure the belt is correctly seated in ALL of the drive pulleys.

Yes I have done that multiple times. The belt is not off the pulley but it is close to the rear edge.

Check your power steering pump bolts. I have heard of them getting loose or even falling out. Also check the idler pulleys that their not wobbly. Anything that is not lined up properly can effect where the belt goes.
Did you notice anything before you changed the belt and tensioner?

The belt doesn't wobble, it stays on the same place. I change the power steering pulley because it hit the subframe and belt shredded. All the other pulleys looks fine. Do you think it might a defective tensioner?

I did look it at it and the pulleys are all tight including the power steering pump. Is there anyway to adjust the alternator to move the belt forward? Because only the tensioner has the problem and the other idler pulleys are fine.

It's was INA tensioner from fcpeuro. The belt ended up shredding because the belt moved back. At least fcp has lifetime warranty.

I replace the tensioner proactively and after 4 month it started making awful noise. INA replacement. Oem is also INA.
