Maybe once more mods I'd move from drop-in panel (dry) to covered CAI (dry)

I got the BMS DCIs, don't really notice any difference performance wise, just extra noise.
It was the same story with my old Skyline, had a apexi POD installed vs the stock nissan air box, no noticable difference besides the extra induction sound and 'wosh' noise from the factory DV. Actually the main reason I got the DCI install was to get rid of as much of the stock plastic bits and pieces (same reason I pissed the factory cowl off and installed BMS cowl filters) from the engine bay as possible and makes it much easier to acess stuff without having to remove a bunch of shite 1st. EDIT: And last time (long time ago) I checked, open PODs are legal in WA, then again with anything defect related, you can be stickered for being a smart arse to the cop. Luckly my theme of keeping the car's outside appearance the same as a base poverty spec 320i means the Police never notices me.

Even on stock turbos i would be looking at vtt or tft inlets over the cai vs dci debate.
There is only limited data on new intakes but anyone making near 400hp should go to these style inlets so the turbos have less stress on them. And offcourse make more boost to redline! |

Bigger intake tubes. Big development in power for oem size turbo housings
VTT Vargass two inlet tubes silicone style that keep oem style filters $500US TFT Brian ....? complete new intakes made form stainless steel and new filters with a relocation kit for coolant $1500US They have just come out in the last couple of months and have shown 90hp gain compared to stock inlets with the same tune on RB turbos. |

They work with stock turbos.
No one has shown what power stock turbos gain with this style inlets yet. Threads are starting to pop up but no general consensus yet |
